Arrogance and Disrespect…

Some of you might not be familiar with Chris Daughtry or his music. I, personally, enjoyed his music and watched him a time or two when he competed on American Idol.

On Fridays from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends presents a summer concert series outside of their studio in New York City. Last week, Charlie Daniels and his band were the main attraction. They have artists who span many genres of music and Daughtry has been a constant participant for the past few years. I sense he might not be invited back and that would not break my heart.

Yesterday, Daughtry (both the name of the band and the lead singer) finished their set. It was the end of the show, but anchor Steve Doocy had one more request before they went off the air for the day. This is how it went:

I highly doubt that any of the surviving veterans of D-Day were crowded around television sets, or computers, watching the show. They most likely are not aware of what transpired and I am almost certain they have no idea who Daughtry is. However, this band appeals to the 18 – 34 market. What a great example of patriotism for our younger citizens.

I do understand that he has played for our troops during the course of his not-even-a-decade long career, but appearances on national TV impact a far larger audience. An audience that may not understand that were it not for the sacrifices and bravery of troops from 12 allied nations on June 6, 1944, we all might be saying “Heil Hitler” each morning.

Dude…

DudeThis just reinforces the lack of respect this Administration has for the families of those killed and wounded in Benghazi.  Disgusting…

“Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress; but I repeat myself.” ~ Mark Twain

It was an impossible task trying to choose which quote I would use to open this post, so you must suffer through both.

“So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don’t even know that fire is hot.” ~ George Orwell

“Data is not information, information is not knowledge, knowledge is not understanding, understanding is not wisdom.” ~ Clifford Stoll

During the current Congress (113th), Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) intends to present legislation that is intended to permit “the federal government [to] monitor radio, television and Internet speech for ‘hate,’ or material allegedly determined to be advocating or encouraging ‘violent acts…’” (examiner.com, 29 April 2014) This proposed bill is entitled the “Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014”.

Okay, so let’s take an educated guess as to what Harry Greed, the Ego in Chief, Senator Markey or any other defender of the oppressed masses might consider hate speech or words/material that would encourage people to go out and commit violent acts. My list would contain:

  • Anything the Tea Party writes, broadcasts or utters at rallies;
  • Anything Fox News broadcasts;
  • Any reports posted by Breitbart.com, The Daily Caller or other publications with a right-leaning editorial policy;
  • My blog;
  • The pages I “like” on Facebook (but Fuckerberg is already taking care of them by making their online lives miserable);
  • If we use the DHS model of Domestic Terrorism we would have to include Military Veterans, Christian Organizations, Constitutional Originalists, yada, yada, yada…;
  • Anything said by Cliven Bundy, his family, friends and supporters;
  • Anyone who believes that legal immigration is fine and illegally entering our country for whatever reason is not (sorry, Jeb, but I’m not buying the “love” thing);
  • Anyone who disagrees with Barry, or believes he and Eric Holder need to resign;
  • Anyone who sees that it is obvious that Harry Greed’s retirement is way overdue and he is just a doddering old fool;
  • Anyone who knows what this country was, sees the damage that has been done by the current Administration and chokes up during the “Star Spangled Banner” not due to pride, but a sense of loss felt deeply in our souls – then expresses their opinion in public.

Here is my list of people and things that might incite others to commit violent acts or who engage in hate speech with permission of His Majesty, The Anointed One:

  • Al Sharpton;
  • Barack Obama;
  • Al Sharpton;
  • Jesse Jackson;
  • Moochele Obama
  • Signs advertising “Gun Free Zones”;
  • Gun Control Advocates;
  • ELF;
  • Occupy Wall Street;
  • Al Sharpton;
  • Harry Greed;
  • Congressman Grayson (D-FL);
  • BLM;
  • And, just in case you missed it – Al Sharpton.

Markey’s proposal does not spell out the punishment that should be meted out to those who engage in such egregious activities, but I am pretty sure it will have something to do with losing your “communication privileges” either for a specified time or for life.

According to any articles I have read, he only has the support of 1% of those in the Senate, but this does not mean that Barry, with pen and phone in hand, wouldn’t push this through via Executive Order and hand control of it to the NSA. Although, Senator Markey had indicated at one point that a new Bureau should be created to do the monitoring. Yeah, right. Because we can really afford that! However, this kind of thought control is very appealing to Barry and I would not put it past him to institute the Barack Hussein Obama Bureau of Shut Up and Do as I Say.

The “Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014” will be given life – just like Shelley’s Frankenstein. Of that I am certain. The question is when and how.

The truth is… Oh, LOOK!!! SHINY THINGS!!!!!

darth-vader-disco-ballDonald Sterling, future former owner of the LA Clippers, is a registered Republican. He is also a racist and one who has been convicted of discrimination based on race and ethnicity in regard to his real estate holdings. This is true and the Liberal Media is having a field day with it.

  •       Shiny Thing – Those damned Conservatives and their cohorts in crime, the Republicans, are at it again. Racist bastards. “No doubt there are plenty of racists in the Democratic Party, but day by day by day it becomes even clearer that the Republican Party is the real home to racists.” (The New Civil Rights Movement, April 28, 2014)
  •       Truth – Donald Sterling donated $2,000 to the campaign coffers of Sen. Bill Bradley (D-NJ), $1,000 to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and $1,000 to Gov. Gray Davis (D-CA). There is no record that Donald Sterling contributed to Republican candidates. (littlesis.org) Why he remains a RHINO is beyond me. However, his history is well known and the Democratic candidates who accepted his money became conveniently ignorant for the sake of the almighty campaign contribution. Is this not “racism by proxy”?

Syria is a mess. It seems that bodies are floating down the main river – victims of the government or the Al Qaeda linked “freedom fighters” is unknown. Biological weapons are still being used by Assad against his own people, despite the promise to our Ego in Chief that they would be dismantled and destroyed. Putin is running with scissors, laughing as he dances across the Ukraine. Iran is increasing their employment numbers by working feverishly to build their precious centrifuges since most of the sanctions against them have been lifted. An American Pastor languishes in one of the most dangerous prisons in that dung pit. In other words, America doesn’t mean shit to the despots of the world anymore. The administration has seriously damaged our standing in the world in one swell foop.

  •       Shiny Thing – Some crazy rancher is grazing his cattle on federal lands and threatening tortoises. He is a tax cheat and should be in prison. His supporters had guns. They scared the BLM (and whatever paramilitary troops were there to back them up) and, to top it all off HE IS A RACIST!!!!!
  •       Truth – Yes, Cliven Bundy has not paid his federal grazing fees for 20 years, but he has made payments to Clark County, Nevada on a regular basis for the use of this property (which I assume is paid for by taxpayers and belongs to every American citizen equally). However, there is a fine line between fees and taxes, as Barry should know. That fine distinction is the only reason we are stuck with his crap health care bill. Until the BLM decided that the land near the Bundy Ranch was a good place for a solar farm, Mr. Bundy was brought to court twice and the matter seemed to fade as time went by. The jury is out as to whether he is a racist or is simply not articulate enough to properly explain the concept of government control he believes is holding all of us down.
  •       Truth – Any “Commander in Chief” who believes that Putin is just a regional annoyance, or that making friends with the Iranians by giving them money is a good thing is a fucking moron and I am not afraid to call it as I see it. Any “President” who has not made one iota of effort to free three American hostages – a doctor in Pakistan, a soldier in Afghanistan (we think) and a pastor in Iran – will never get my respect.
  •       Truth – If Barry draws any more “red lines” in the sand, the earth is going to resemble Mars when viewed from the International Space Station. And, some of that red will be the blood of innocents. And, this happened on his watch.

On September 11, 2012, four Americans were murdered while serving our country in Benghazi, Libya. As I showed in a previous post, our government was warned of possible actions against Americans and American interests well ahead of this horrible tragedy. New emails were released proving that the idea to blame the attacks at Benghazi on a really bad, soft-porn video was concocted by Barry and his band of Merry Muckrakers.

  •       Shiny Thing – Fox News won’t report anything good Sir Ego does. According to him, he has had many successes that don’t get any press. Don’t hate the player, hate the press. They, particularly Fox, will not let things go when they are clearly over, solved, finito, nothing but manufactured crises. None of this matters anymore – but LOOK!!!! I played soccer with a robot!!!!
  •       Shiny Thing 2 – Because President George W. Bush went after Sadam Hussein, Al Qaeda was allowed to run rampant across the Middle East and in America. Once again, it is all George Bush’s fault (yawn).
  •       Truth – The more time goes by, the more we come to realize what we already suspected to be the truth – President Obama was directly involved in manipulating (and I am being nice) the facts about Benghazi in order to win a second term. He is not going to slip out of this one with a glass of beer and a handshake. Not this time.
  •       Truth – Even though The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 proposed by Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) is supposedly aimed at racist, sexist and every other form of “ist” speech used online, etc., it opens the door for the government to tag as Hate Speech words written by those who disagree with them – sort of like Facebook is doing.  Here is the excuse they are using to once again attempt to restrict our First Amendment Rights – “’We have recently seen in Kansas the deadly destruction and loss of life that hate speech can fuel in the United States, which is why it is critical to ensure the Internet, television and radio are not encouraging hate crimes or hate speech that is not outside the protection of the First Amendment,’ said Markey.” (adweek.com)(emphasis added). Only because I love to pound things home with a sledgehammer – notice the law calls for regulating speech that IS protected by our First Amendment.

A Fly’s Butt hair…

I’m sorry, Secretary Kerry.  You impress me just about a fly’s butt hair more than Barry – but only because you don’t appear as condescending in your manner of speech.  (I can’t believe I actually said that.)  This awful situation in Syria should have been acted upon months and months ago.

Did the people who accused President Bush of lying about the existence of WMDs in Iraq ever wonder how thousands of Kurds (and other “undesirable” citizens) ended up buried in mass graves without a bullet hole, knife wound, etc., in one of them?  What – they died from a Febreze™ overdose?  Wouldn’t you agree that these people suffered “inconceivable horror” at the hands of Saddam Hussein just as the citizens of Syria are today?  What a damned hypocrite you are.  Did anyone in the UN (or US for that matter) take the time to follow the trail and see WHERE the weapons ended up when they were smuggled out of Iraq under cover of darkness – or however they secreted them – before the UN Inspectors were able to locate them?   Uhm, Ketchup Man, I think we found them.

Your buddy, Barry, can play his little Executive Order game when there is an immediate threat to the United States.  You know, like big planes flying into the WTC, Pentagon and Shanksville and killing nearly 3,000 people.  President Bush filed an Executive Order to invade Iraq and in October 2002 he consulted Congress so they could vote on a more formal document authorizing military action against Iraq.  What immediate threat is there against the US?

Barry, you have waited so long that this has become a much more complicated issue that poses threats to some of our allies overseas.  Put the red Sharpie™ down and back away from your kids’ art table.  We are kind of stuck out in the Gulf with our thumbs up our asses because Assad has certainly been playing the Sarin Shuffle like a mad man.  Where is the bow of the ship you are going to fire across today?  Oh, and by the way, thank you so much for clarifying to this fucknut  that there aren’t actually going to be missile strikes.  Did you send him a note with little roses imprinted on it that reads “Dear Bashir, If a big shiny metal thing comes flying over your house, it is just us trying to look like we have balls.  Have a nice day and we apologize in advance for any stress cracks our phony show of force may create in any of your buildings.  Sincerely, Barry”

It might be a good idea to investigate why Russia and China walked out of the meeting at the UN. ( http://www.latimes.com/world/worldnow/la-fg-wn-russia-syria-warships-deployed-20130829,0,3436636.story )  Putin hates your guts, he’s KGB (you say ex, I call bullshit) and my personal opinion is that he has been working with Iran on something for a very long time.  China nearly owns us financially.  Do we sincerely need to piss them off?  Both have nukes.  If Bush were President I would have 100% faith that he could organize the right people to deal with all of the intricacies of this issue.  I get the sense that you probably have trouble figuring out your TV remote.

Oh, just a little piece of advice for ya – if one of our oldest, most loyal allies says “Fuck YOU!  You’re on your own on this one”, you may want to really, really take a moment and ask yourself why…

Just for S&G, I am going to repost something I wrote when you told the world our troops would be pulling out of Afghanistan.  Sort of like telling Assad you aren’t really going to hit anything, you know?  You need to read this.  It’s a real killer – literally…

After last night’s address to the nation concerning his Afghan Strategy, the Anointed One received many notes of thanks from around the globe:

Dear President Obama,

Thank you so much for the information concerning your projected date of withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Your advice is of great import to us as it will save our Brothers much time and effort.  We can now concentrate on training our troops, stockpiling weapons and recruitment for a future takeover of Afghanistan.

In the meantime, we will continue to rest in Pakistan.  This is sorely needed as we have been fighting for many years and our bones are weary.

In closing, we have one favor to ask you.  Do you think you might find it in your heart to send us a Wii?  The nights are long and television sucks here.

With great respect and appreciation,

THE TALIBAN

Here’s one from an unnamed Afghani National Guardsman:

Mr. President,

Thank you sooo much for letting us know in advance that we are SCREWED.  Your half-assed commitment to our cause is truly heartwarming.

Last night 200 recruits fled into the night.  I believe I heard them say they were going to Pakistan to play Wii with the Taliban.  I have no idea what this means, but it doesn’t sound good.

Then there was this one from our European Allies:

Barack,

Are you f***ing serious!?!?

Good Lord, man, do you really expect us to commit more troops to Afghanistan when you have given up before you even start?  Why should anyone back your play when you are clearly not interested in victory?

We will have to think long and hard about putting more young men and women in harm’s way for a cause that even the United States of America does not believe in.  You will be hearing from us in, oh, ninety days or so…

And, finally:

Mr. President, Sir:

I am writing to express my deep appreciation for your commitment to our Armed Forces.  My fellow Marines and I were able to watch your speech on Fox this morning.

We especially enjoyed the part when you said we will be getting some relief by 2010.  I never realized what a funny guy you are.  Maybe you can invite my family over for a beer after my funeral.

No Child Left To Die… (Part 2)

On Wednesday, June 5th, Judge Baylson of the federal court in Pennsylvania ordered Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to allow an exception to the rule that children under 12 cannot be placed on the adult recipient list for a lung transplant.  Prayers of thanks and my utmost respect go out to Judge Baylson.

Unfortunately, the night she learned that she was placed on the adult list, Sarah Murnaghan’s condition worsened.  I have researched many sites trying to understand the complicated Lung Allocation System (LAS) and have been unsuccessful.  What I do know is her score was 36 and is now 78 (Fox News Channel) – that is, apparently, not good.

Today, her medical condition took another turn downward.  Sarah has been intubated and may be placed on a heart/lung machine if a donor cannot be found soon (Fox News Channel).  This machine would be a last grasp at hope for her family.

If Sebelius had not been so flippant with her “some people live and some people die” attitude, maybe Sarah would have received her lung transplant by now.  Perhaps not.  But, by refusing to waive the age requirement until she was ordered to, precious days ticked away.  It wasn’t like she couldn’t sign the waiver when she was out soliciting funds from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for Obamacare.  Signing a piece of paper only takes a moment.

If this is the type of treatment families can expect when their children are in urgent need of medical care before Obamacare is fully implemented, what is going to happen to our children once it is?  All it would have taken was a signature to give Sarah a better chance.  The same person will be holding the pen in 2014.  If this does not give every parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or family friend chills up their spines, I do not know how better to bring the point home.

Well, let’s try this – Only the chosen will survive.  The rest of us are fucked.

Please pray for Sarah and her family.

No Child Left to Die…

Worst case scenario – the life of your child is in the hands of Washington bureaucrats.  A nightmare beyond comprehension.

It was reported on Fox Report with Shepard Smith that HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has the ability to override the laws currently on the books if there is a potential danger to the patient or the public and get the wheels moving to get a pair of lungs for Sarah Murnaghan.  She is reviewing the case.  Really…reviewing the case.   Hey, BITCH, a ten-year-old girl is dying and you are REVIEWING THE CASE?  This beautiful little girl has about 2 weeks to live.

Sarah has Cystic Fibrosis.  She is 10.  If she were 12, this would not have made the local news, let alone Fox.  At 12, Sarah could be placed on the adult recipient list.  Sarah is medically at the top of both the pediatric and adult lists for transplant recipients.  However, pediatric donors are rare.  Medicine has advanced leaps and bounds since these laws were written and adult lungs can be made to fit pediatric patients.  As usual, the law has not kept up with technology.

I can understand giving someone my age a hard time.  I’m a big girl.  I can handle it.  But, how DARE they screw with a child who has everything to live for.  Think of the things she will never do.  I won’t list them here.  I’m certain you can inventory your own life and come up with a million things you feel blessed to have experienced.  Sarah will not have such a list, nor will her parents.

“Secretary Sebelius’ decision to not exercise her very clear authority under the law to intervene and mandate a variance that would help save Sarah’s life is devastating,” the family said in a prepared statement (abcnews.com).  I can’t even imagine.  At this point, even if she did intervene, the chance of finding a matching donor will most likely take longer than Sarah has to live.  Had Secretary Sebelius acted when the parents first requested assistance, the ending of this story could have been quite different.

sarah-murnaghan

This may not help, but maybe it will.  If you feel as strongly about Sarah and her family as I do, please write to Secretary Sebelius at:

At the very least, please keep Sarah and her family in your heart.  Dammit, she is just a little girl…

AN ADDENDUM TO THIS POST – A “MUST READ”

http://washingtonexaminer.com/sebelius-wont-waive-regulation-for-girl-with-five-weeks-to-live-someone-lives-and-someone-dies/article/2531097

by Joel Gehrke – Commentary Writer

“Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius rebuffed an appeal from Rep. Lou Barletta on behalf of a girl who needs a lung transplant but can’t get one because of a federal regulation that prevents her from qualifying for a transplant.

“Please, suspend the rules until we look at this policy,” Barletta, a Pennsylvania Republican, asked Sebelius during a House hearing Tuesday on behalf of Sarah Murnaghan, a 10-year-old girl who needs a lung transplant. She can’t qualify for an adult lung transplant until the age of 12, according to federal regulations, but Sebelius has the authority to waive that rule on her behalf. The pediatric lungs for which she currently qualifies aren’t available.

“I would suggest, sir, that, again, this is an incredibly agonizing situation where someone lives and someone dies,” Sebelius replied. “The medical evidence and the transplant doctors who are making the rule — and have had the rule in place since 2005 making a delineation between pediatric and adult lungs, because lungs are different that other organs — that it’s based on the survivability [chances].”

Barletta countered that medical professionals think Murneghan could survive an adult lung transplant. During the exchange, he also said that the girl has three to five weeks to live.

Sebelius reminded Barletta that 40 people in Pennsylvania are on the “highest acuity list” for lung transplants.”

I would like to thank Mr. Gehrke for writing this article and keeping the public informed.  I felt it was important for those who read my blog to see the latest developments… ~Katrina

They Can’t Handle the Truth!!!!

jack nicholsonYou know, when Richard Nixon did it the Media didn’t like it.  Not at all.  I’m talking about blackballing a newspaper for writing articles questioning decisions made by his administration.

Back in the 70’s newspapers were still the most powerful journalistic outlet in America.  They had the power to make or break someone’s political career.  Nixon hated The New York Times and had no problem barring them from access to the White House.  Journalists around the country made their feelings known.  They accused the Nixon administration of stepping on the First Amendment Rights of The New York Times, and rightly so.

However, that was when there was still such a thing as “journalistic integrity”.  That term can now be filed under “Oxymoron” with other classics such as “jumbo shrimp”.  Now-a-days the MSM outlets have been reduced to nothing more than 24/7 campaign commercials for Congressional Liberals and the White House.  I was taken by surprise when they joined the “Huh?” generation after Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize.

There is now a present day blacklist and it contains one name – Fox News Channel. Why?  Because Anita Dunn has chosen to blur the lines between commentary and journalism. These terms, though somewhat similar, are significantly different in one respect.  Journalism is “a direct presentation of facts” while commentary is “an expression of opinion”.  Commentary, which quite often contains factual information, is an expression of one person’s views of those facts.  Journalism in its truest form should not be laced with opinion.

I challenge Anita to stop wasting my tax dollars blogging on a White House website and, instead, issue a statement of factual inaccuracies presented by Fox News Channel. This is similar to a request I made a week-or-so ago to the Liberal blogging community.  I fear we will get the same response from her as I did…a barrage of vitriolic refuse.
