Every year I watch the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington. Every year I cry… This year I do not know if I can watch. I feel like throwing up knowing that the man whose hands hold that wreath does not love this country, has no respect for those who died to protect us and is most likely thinking about whether or not he can get in a round of golf today.
Many want to bash President Bush. How did he spend this weekend? How has he spent each Memorial Day weekend since leaving office? This is a man of compassion, conviction and class.
If Barry wasn’t so stuck on himself, he might learn a thing or two from this man.
God bless our troops and hold in your hands the souls of those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that I might be free to express my thoughts on this Memorial Day 2013.

I’m remembering “wounded warriors” myself today. Hoping to raise awareness and spark conversation, I posted this –

I’d love for you to stop by and leave a comment, if you feel so led.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. I understand that 22 veterans take their lives each day. My niece and brother-in-law are Army Vets and my nephew is in the USMC. This point hits home to me. I look forward to reading your blog. ~Katrina
